Jayden Daniels did not do much damage with his legs in Week 6, but his arm carried the load. The rookie quarterback passed for 300 yards and two touchdowns against the 49ers on Monday night, showing poise and accuracy against a defense known for creating confusion.

Daniels stayed mostly in the pocket, picking apart coverage with timing throws and quick decisions. The 300 yard outing marked his strongest passing performance of the young season and gave the offense a steady rhythm it had been missing. He spread the ball around and avoided the costly mistakes that have plagued other first year passers in similar spots.

The running game never really got going, which put more pressure on Daniels to move the chains through the air. He answered that challenge, converting key third downs and keeping drives alive. His two touchdown passes came on well placed throws that required anticipation and touch.

While his rushing numbers were minimal, the performance offered a reminder that Daniels can win in different ways. The outing should build confidence as the schedule gets tougher.
