Coyote volleyball goes 9-0 in the month of October

South Dakota volleyball wrapped up October with a flawless 9-0 record, giving the program plenty to celebrate as the calendar turns.

The nine-match win streak stands as the longest for the Coyotes since 2022, a season in which they put together two separate 13-match runs. This year's stretch has been powered largely by defense, with opponents held to a hitting percentage below .200 during the surge.

That defensive pressure has kept South Dakota in control of matches and limited the damage from opposing attackers. The Coyotes have combined that effort at the net and in the back row with enough offense to close out every contest on their schedule during the month.

The streak gives the team momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season, when conference positioning becomes the priority. South Dakota will look to carry the same defensive discipline and consistency that defined October into its remaining matches.
