Utah Secures In-State Offensive Tackle Manase Brown After Flipping Commitment

Utah has landed a commitment from in-state offensive tackle Manase Brown, flipping him away from Fresno State. Brown, who plays his high school football at Corner Canyon, had previously pledged to the Bulldogs before reopening his recruitment and ultimately choosing to stay close to home with the Utes.

The addition gives Utah a promising offensive line prospect from one of the state's most competitive high school programs. Corner Canyon has produced several college-level talents in recent years, and Brown's development there figures to serve him well as he transitions to the college game.

For Utah, keeping top in-state talent at home has been a priority under the current staff, and Brown's flip reflects that emphasis. The Utes beat out a Mountain West program that had built an early relationship with Brown, but the pull of playing in the Pac-12 and staying near family proved decisive.

Brown brings size and athleticism to an offensive tackle room that values depth and developmental upside. His commitment strengthens Utah's recruiting class and adds another local name to a roster that leans heavily on players from the state.

The flip is a notable win on the recruiting trail for the Utes, who continue to work on closing out their class with momentum. Brown becomes the latest Corner Canyon product to head to Salt Lake City, continuing a pipeline that has benefited Utah in recent cycles.
